the comment with regards to neo and trinity, i will say not really, since the premis of the film is that the world is just a computer program, and gravity and everything in the film is based on our perceptions and known laws, then he could actually catch her at that speed, the other thing to look at. is the fact that based on the film they are laid in a bed, not actually falling, so they are not actually moving at that speed in real life, only their computerised body would be travelling at that speed. thus knowing what they know it wouldnt effect them

This is a a correction for the correction video, getting fit is not like you described it. You can go to the gym 3 days a week and get 70-80% results of the 6 days, if you acquire your fitness information from the right places(dr.Eric helms, dr.mike israetel, menno henselmans, dr.brad etc...) you would know more than most trainers and some nutritionists out there, you don't have to avoid things you like to eat you just eat them less forming a healthy relationship with food in these dark ages of fast food and animal fries, dehydrating yourself to peak is the old unscientific (worst) way of peaking for a shoot, but yes you can't look your best all year round but you would look like one sexy potato by just having 8 hours per week workouts, healthy relationship with food where you never starve yourself and you feel good all the time, 0 dollars spent on coaches who "do you even lift bro" you all the time, and all that for the price of educating yourself for free.

The modern live action superhero physique is off-putting. It's visibly unnatural, and the proportions are always off. Image google Belgian Blue for an illustration of why more is not always better. That's honestly what Henry Cavill and other overly pumped up superhero actors look like in my eyes. Christopher Reeve, way back in the day, looked good. Brandon Routh looked nice as well. Cavill? Holy no. My point is, Kyle is one fit and healthy-looking potato.

neo is a bad example cuz he isn't so much a Speedster nor hL does he have Super Strength, unlike the rest of the characters apart from Smith at the end, neo isn't pushing his limits, he manipulates the enviroment . so it'd be more like tactile Telekinesis. so when he catches her then all of her starts moving in that direction at that sped simultaneouslyn ergo her organs don't slosh around

That's an excellent point on that sudden jerk from falling. The old fall arrest harnesses caused alot of guys to suffer broken spines from the force of the sudden stop. The new ones have a section that tears in segments, so its kindof like how an ABS system works in a car. Lots of little pulses that slow you down in a logarithmic curve. It still hurts your delicate bits though.

Nacho Problems is missing the context. They're in the Matrix. Neo is able to change the momentum of bullets and bring them to a stop in a matter of inches with his mind by altering the Matrix. He simply matched Trinity's momentum to his with his mind. As far as the Matrix is concerned, there was a momentary glitch and then Trinity continued moving with the exact same momentum and vector as Neo, just as she was before. Juuuust as she was before.

A small correction when it comes to the subject of catching up to someone in free fall it is indeed possible at least for falls from heights sufficient for air resistance to be a significant variable. Humans have complex shapes and thus a human body actually has a large range of terminal velocities depending on body position and orientation if the human in the higher elevation position has some skydiving experience and can get their body into a minimum drag configuration (ie head down, legs extended and arms as close in to the sides as possible) could catch up with someone falling in a higher drag position such as with their limbs extended and/or their chest/back facing the ground etc if there was enough time. Note also that untrained humans will tend to flail their limbs while falling and will rarely be in anything like a minimum drag position as a result in fact on the contrary such chaotic flailing generally results in individual limbs being subjected to such large drag forces as to produce a characteristic pattern of injuries including dislocations. The human falling instinct is mostly evolved to help us regain our balance when our body senses we are about to fall it it actually very damaging if we do fall any real distance but then evolution wouldn't have much incentive to fix this since falling far enough to make this relevant tends to have a near 100% chance of precluding future replication for obvious reasons.

    Seraphina3 bulan yang lalu

One other thing about changing someones motion from say 100 m/s down the Z axis ie straight down in vector form stopping them only requires you to apply the acceleration changing that motion to say the Y axis instead ie would require apply the acceleration that is to say you still have to arrest their motion in the Z axis and then also accelerate them along the Y axis. This would require delivery of an even larger total force the 100 N/kg needed to simply stop them in fact it would require a minimum of 200 N/kg the most efficient way to reduce the momentum of an object is always a retrograde acceleration that is to say an acceleration which is pointed in the exact opposite direction to the objects motion ie if you want to stop something that is falling straight down push straight up. This by the way is also comes up a lot in orbital mechanics which is very much dominated by momentum due to the way kinetic and gravitational potential energy interact. This is why the intuitive idea that the easiest way to deorbit a spacecraft would be to thrust straight down is completely wrong the most efficient way is that which results in the maximum loss of momentum which is to thrust retrograde. Thrusting down would instead cause the object to follow a path akin to a car rolling down a hill making it's forward motion just get even faster (Bear in mind unlike the car the orbiter is already travelling forward fast enough to miss the ground speeding it up is unhelpful) making it extremely hard to hit the ground this way.

Love the channel, the science, the humor, all of it. Sadly, my comment tonight is a bit critical. Not of the video as a whole, it was enjoyable as always. However, your answer to the question from "Captain America" was disappointing. As a former football player, NCAA division 1 wrestler, powerlifter, bodybuilder AND massive superhero, sci-fy, math, biology, physics, chemistry nerd, I really wish that nerds wouldn't put down physical fitness aspirations. It's a good thing to be physically fit, and it's not nearly as hard as you described in your answer. It's TRUE that lots of pampered, rich, actors get personal trainers, and expensive diets, food prepared for them by private chefs, etc. I dont know if you can see my profile photo, but that is indeed a picture of me last October; more lean than even Hugh Jackman when he played wolverine. I'm not pointing that out to toot my own horn, I'm pointing that out because I had none of those things those actors had, yet I looked better than them, completely natural, and I did it in less time. While it is true that to get as lean as I did for the competition, the workouts were quite numerous, long, and draining, it was only probably the last couple of weeks that was that bad at all. Between people being extremely weak minded, and other people exaggerating the difficulty of getting into shape in order to impress people, gain sympathy or admiration, the public has been deceived into thinking that even seeing their abs is completely unattainable. No part of the population has been hit harder from this than the intellectual community. And it's a horrible shame. The more nerds despise fitness and athleticism, the more unattractive being educated and reaching your intellectual potential appears. Interestingly, it's been proven that excercise increases bloodflow to the brain, stops, slows and prevents a number of degenerative brain conditions, not to mention, increases your overall intelligence if performed from a young age. I have maintained my muscular size, strength, and still have a 6 pack, yet now due to time restraints, I work out 35-50 minutes per day. I eat cake at birthday parties, I have burgers when I want, it's not that hard. It takes so little of my life, energy, money, and effort, I simply have lost alot of sympathy for people that see an in shape person, and automatically lash out at them with comments like "I'm just so busy with work and kids, i cant waste time on working out" or a real dagger like "I'd rather spend what little bit of free time I have with those I love." Implying of course, that I do not spend time with my loved ones or dont care about my son or something like that. Its very similar to when I got back from basic training for the Army. I was hanging out with some friends from high school before I had to go to Afghanistan, and almost like clockwork, every gathering or party I went to, there was always some guy scrawny, badboy, wanna-be tough guy, who would say something along the lines of "Yeah, I could never join the Army, I just know if a drill seargent ever got in my face I'd knock him out. I just dont let people talk to me like that." First time I heard that, I couldnt believe it. that guy basically just called me a ... pansy ... (almost said something else, gotta keep it family friendly lol) implying I graduated basic training not by enduring hardship and pushing through, but instead by being a wimp that just does what he's told to avoid confrontation. Anyway, I think you get the picture, and I'll end your punishment of my painfully long comment now. Just remember, being physically fit is actually very easy. You for one look like you probably have good genes for it too. And please dont make people think fitness is unattainable just to make mediocrity or even being fat or unhealthy seem like a normal, or acceptable lifestyle. If we are truly for self improvement, and advancement, and becoming better in all aspects of life, we must not let the opportunity to literally makes our brains grow, extend our lifespans, and just be more attractive looking. Then maybe someday, being a nerd would be the thing everyone wanted to be. Well rounded, like a renaissance man. Just look at Neil deGrasse Tyson. He was a college wrestler, and he looked like a bodybuilder. I know this is long winded but it's time smart people became the strong and healthy people too.

Hi Kyle! Love the show. So about the deceleration part of your footnotes, I wss reminded of the HANS device and the cockpit of a Formula 1 car... and the head on crashes into barriers like one Max Verstappen had at the Monaco GP a few years ago. The harness they are strapped into are extremely tight to their bodies, and the HANS device strapped to theor helmets aid in preventing a LOT of the G forces of a head on crash with a barrier. Obviously a LOT of the energy dissipation comes from the carbon fibre bodywork and the tyre walls around circuits. Even with the energy dissipation, there is still a number great of Gs from at 150+ mph crash like these and HANS device and cockpit harness goes about safely keeping the momentum of the driver in check in a very short distance.

Kyle I doubt you will see this at this point, but Danni's downfall didn't happen fast. If you really pay attention during the series, she starts her turn into the mad queen right after Drogo's untimely death, which grows as she slaughters people in slavers bay then makes a big jump when she gets to Westeros and realizes the people there are not going to follow her just because she has dragons like she was used to. John Snow killing her made sense as he was easily able to get close enough to her to slip the blade in.

Unless, I am misunderstanding this issue, I believe it makes perfect sense. The Matrix is a simulation. The people in the simulation are jacked in, so more or less sprites in a game. Neo WAS a sprite but could now be compared to a programmer, controlling the game. He defines the perimeters of his sprite in the game. Neo has basically become GOD in the game. Most participants in the game could not make a hot chick randy by sending her a delicious dessert (Well, maybe KYLE can) but one character could. He rewrote the perimeters of the game so he could make it with the woman in the restaurant. In catching Trinity at high speed, Neo rewrote Trinity's collision detection in the game. ... I suppose.... Thanks. Great channel. :)

Because Science (in fiction) DC universe is Denser then the Marvel universe! And both are denser then our universe. Can you prove me correct? or wrong? based on the following As noted in the JLA and Batman and Superman animated series where regular humans started bow fighting with bench press bars with weights on them, more then once. People sword fight with crowbars, which would destroy a normal humans hand by the impact vibrations. the only time this hurst a human is when they try and hit Superman with one in the first Live action movie. Batman, Green Arrow, and others fully human Characters get knocked through walls, thrown halfway through cars that move no less then ten feet. they've been buried under entire buildings, survived, and continue to fight no less. While marvel its only ever mutants except for 'Ironman' and the has a super suit. Note: (as you know) batman's primary suit does not assist his strength unlike tony stark suit. the Ironman suit which would be able to applying a greater resistance and therefor resist more impact. ( ? ) Batman has been physically hit by darksied through a wall before and lived. Darksied could punch Wolverines skeleton out of his body. (Please show your work for this) People have fallen from the tops of high rises and walked away, because of a dumpster or because their Richard Prior. There are Zero Concussions under batman or the green Arrows belt. Despite repeated hits to the head, by super powered villains or robots, or super powered villainous robots! Let alone the villains like yourself! they get knocked out all the time, to the point they would be brain damaged you'd thing by concussions and head trauma. There are other factors, like that of regular human survival and healing, dispite having no recorded healing factor. and the trauma they just went through would kill anyone form our universe and most humans from Marvel. The fact planes don't get ripped apart must be either by modern design to be caught by superheros. OR the planes are made out of stronger and or potentially denser versions of our elements / alloys. Other factors lead me to believe the latter since there isn't just a handle on the top of the plane now. Does your 14th level intellect allow you to prove or disprove my theory.
