I made this recipe in grams, but i found my dough too oily or buttery, so that i cant form solid balls. I think your recipe need more flour. What should i do?

My mom uses fresh pineapples and obliterates it in the blender before boiling with sugar. Give is a nice, soft texture when you bite into the filling.

Love your recipes and have had success with many, but I really wish you would state quantities in weight rather than in terms such as spoons and cups. Just tell us how many ounces or grams rather than cups. I have no idea what a stick of butter is, in Oz butter is typically sold in 250g blocks and googles tells me a stick is 110g or 4oz, so why not not simply say 4oz butter? How much is a cup of cake flour, in Oz that is 250g but apparently using a US cup is half that at 140g. Thanks again for the excellent videos but please keep in mind that a USA teaspoon or tablespoon are not the same size as in other countries.

Okay, so it's not that they are scamming me with 50% pineapple on purpose. I bought these type of cakes at 99 Ranch and they were only 50% pineapple. The other half is wintermelon. I went and bought other flavors like "mango" that doesn't taste like mango. There are also a cantaloupe and blueberry. I hope either is better than the others. I guess I'll make my own, because i'm not paying more than $5 a package for real pineapple. All of them are not very good and have a "Durianesque/gassy" smell to them.

hi! i tried your recipe yesterday and it was really good! everybody loves it including my mom-in-law who doesn't eat sweets, my friends also compliment my pineapple cake! thank you so much for the recipe! my concern is i wonder why my cake didn't turn brown. i baked it for 30mins or more and didn't turn brown color... anyway, it's really yummy! 😊

  43. Angel Wong's Kitchen

Angel Wong's Kitchen2 tahun yang lalu

Hi! So glad you liked my pineapple cake recipe! To get the browned "grill marks" look, you need a textured baking sheet like I used in the video, otherwise you can bake the cakes a bit longer in the oven to try and brown the edges.

How would you recommend storing these for ~4 days? Freezer? Fridge? When would they actually go bad?

  45. Angel Wong's Kitchen

Angel Wong's Kitchen2 tahun yang lalu

If it's not too hot, I just usually store mine in a container on the kitchen counter. If you need to go more than 1-2 days, try for the fridge and toast them in the toaster oven before serving. Honestly though, mine never make it past day 2 since everyone's eaten them all. 😬

D: my dough is so sticky...what egg size did you use?

  54. Croissant The Clarinet

Croissant The Clarinet3 tahun yang lalu

Mine was extremely sticky because of the Sheer humidity/Temperature of Texas but I added too much flour how do I make it a little more sticky?

  55. Angel Wong's Kitchen

Angel Wong's Kitchen3 tahun yang lalu

I used a regular sized egg. Depending on where you live, the humidity/temperature may make it more sticky so you may need to add a bit more flour. You can also chill in the refrigerator for an hour or so as that may help.

  73. Aurora LT

    Aurora LT3 tahun yang lalu

+Angel Wong's Kitchen Indeed. Next time I’ll do that. The dough was very oily but I did manage to roll them with the filling. They are in the oven now. I’ll pray that they don’t turn into small pancakes :D Thanks for replying.

  74. Angel Wong's Kitchen

Angel Wong's Kitchen3 tahun yang lalu

+Aurora LT it can also vary based on temperature or humidity of where you live. If it's too sticky, place it in the freezer or fridge to let it firm up before using.
