1:53 " almost legal" What does that mean? Is that the same as buying beer at 20 years and 364 days old? Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. So you got busted for speeding and having illegal drugs. So sorry to hear. Maybe next time you wouldn't be speeding and carrying illegal drugs. Hope you learned your lesson. ( This comment pass this line will be edited to add more) 2:27 if you are on a fixed income, how did you buy the joints? ( Side note : Hope the drug counseling worked and you are off the junk) Watched to the end. Why didn't you show how he was pulled out of the cell? Also the officer with the phone seem to have taken some pictures. So far you didn't prove anything. Where are the reports? Here is what I see by his own story. He got pulled over He had illegal drugs on him He could have been loud with the police since he never said the " the officer claimed he smelled something" He was asked or told to exit the car They did a search They found the drugs He was arrested He took a deal due to his financial situation. He later regretted it He must have told them about his high blood pressure ( if that is true then why in hell would he smoke marijuana since it can raise your blood pressure) He then refused to take his medication. Since the jail is responsible for his well being. By him refusing puts them liable. He may have also refuse to sign a waiver for not taking it ( looking for a law suit) So overall this seems like a case that someone wanted a lawsuit but failed at it.

Notice his descriptions; “I haven’t got in trouble for over 20 years”, “ I thought I’d just tell them what I did, I have nothing to hide”. He has the mentality of a child getting into trouble and that the state is his parent. Sad. Also, he just doesn’t know how to fight the legal battle of getting a ticket so he decides to go to their jail? Omg. Bad decisions all the way round.

The video from inside the cell is so fuzzy that it's almost unwatchable. It's nearly impossible to tell whats going on or who was involved. Was that intentional by the jail staff or administration? Seems like it to me, otherwise I have no idea why the video would be blurred out, especially considering today's technology. That camera would have to been made in the late 90's.

I feel bad for the guy. When he was 15 years old, would he still have the same ambitions 25 years later? I'm not any closer to being President. Archaic laws and unreasonable requirements.... quite frankly, I'm really confused as to why folks in the comment are poking fun at this man, who is sharing a story. We know the justice system is horribly flawed, when it applies to ourselves. When a misdemeanor or felony does not involve us directly, we can come off as another hyper critical Country Lawyer. Has anyone who's done an audit of been charged with a Misdemeanor or Felony, shared your interaction with friends, family, co-workerd, etc..? This gentleman has been trying to tell his side of the story to the people in his life, and it looks AND sounds like he's been cast away. Rogue, you did a really awesome deed by giving that Man the time and reassurance. He most likely doesn't feel so ashamed of what was alleged v. reality. It probably took a huge weight of guilt off his chest. Now the Country Lawyer wants a word: Judges are instruments of the Court. Laws mechanisms that direct the instrument to it's destination. Mechanical components are complex. When you state that, this person on video is incriminating himself in a video, consider what mechanisms of law would give a layer of protection. It's not an amendment. It's the burden of proof. Beyond a reasonable doubt. Yeah, in the video, he looks like Larry... shit even talks like Lar... But this guy shouldn't have to worry about incriminating himself when there's nothing to show cause for further legal concern. If you want to "Be" the guy who's always making legal determination from a video - City employees who wilfully destroys, alters, falsifies or commits the theft of a record kept as part of the official governmental records of the state or any county or municipality in the state, shall be guilty of a felony and is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than fourteen (14) years.

They throw the book at Anyone. It's sad that "they" have to resort to "their system". The health care system in florida is corrupt in ways you can't imagine. And work closely with deputies and the sheriffs all in the name of public safety are community-based snitches, citizen academy intertwined within the community through various charitable organizations and faith based groups. One has to make sure you have their affairs in order. So, when this type of issues arise, you're prepared. As it's only a matter of time "when" and you will. As health care directives are important even in a case such as this mans. "LIVING WILL" you can at anytime apoint someone you chose to make sure your not abused in a lock up of any kind. And again, "they" would violate his right and not allow to contact anyone. If you're on ANY type of medication "They"" will harass you and use that as a reason to lock you up And even baker act you. Stay far away or get wise to correct things so this won't happen. Like ,let someone else drive or run errands. Writing a book on this subject would not be a bad idea. As many in florida have neighbors like this gentleman and sadly he should know he's a target as is everyone else. The Captain, this man's story is all to common in florida. 1 mile per hr over the limit puts someone as a criminal. That's the way it is there. And they use it to start the escalation.

NEVER let a cop follow you. When they get behind you, pull over. They are trying to get evidence against you on camera. Make them try off what they already have. When they get behind you, pull over and refuse to give them more evidence. If they have enough to stop you ( or think they do) they will stop as well but they won't have any other evidence they could have gathered while following you.

  68. thunderbird002

    thunderbird0022 bulan yang lalu

@Steven Tunis what also would be great? What are your sources? I have lookup DOJ and FBI stats. I have done random police department stats. The numbers don't support your statements. Nearly 85% of cops are good cops.. But it also shows that some people that should never be cops do get the job. So testing is important part of pre-screening. Can you tell me you can do a job like say being a doctor? Do you know how many people fail or drop out of medical school? How people fail at being a firemen? All you seem to ant to focus on just the bad cops and don't want to see the numbers of people cops have saved. How about 35million people cops have directly and indirectly have save? So you focus on in a ten years time frame of less then 1000 people that were killed by cops in a friendly fire. How about the 3000 cops that were killed by out right murder because of a traffic ticket? Of the 1000 people yes some were of right murder for some idiotic reason like when a cop killed his girlfriends ex boyfriend. So you want a perfect world? Live in fantasy land. If you want perfect cops? Build RoboCop. I myself would not want to be judged my mindless machines. I would rather have a human law enforcement that can make errors that can be questioned . Machines can't make judgement calls. Now look at the person that is questioning why they were ticketed, arrested or mailed. You need to listen what they say , how tell the story. Then it's how you want to feel bad for them because you maybe got a ticket or was arrested or even jailed. I seen to many feel good laws go into effect as well. But who makes these laws? You and I do! We the people ask for them. Now if you say 'i didn't ask for it" Then what did you to stop it? Did you write your Congress person? Did you attend a public meeting? Did you do anything other then being a football couch coach? Tell everyone how you can solve everything? I have called people in Congress, Senate as well as mayors, governors of many states. No never talk to one on one, mostly interns or at that level. Also not a high success rate to say. You need to get a group of people to help. These video don't work because people look and listen and brush it off. This long winded

    thunderbird0022 bulan yang lalu

@Steven Tunis can you tell me any person that never broke the law?

  70. Steven Tunis

    Steven Tunis2 bulan yang lalu

@thunderbird002 Do you know a single officer that can tell you they've never broken the law while wearing the badge? If you do, you know a liar. Every officer who has been employed for over a day, has seen another officer, or themselves, break a law and done nothing about it. Are they still a good officer? If cops are allowed to lie to people, which the Supreme Court has ruled that they are, why is their word more credible in court? In fact, why is ANY case where it is a cops word over another citizens word allowed to proceed? Cops lie/embellish details so often in court that it has an actual name, testilying. For 20 years the FBI used fake science and lies to convict and imprison people, some on death row, but no one went to jail for that crime. Do you know what the 2 groups that score the highest on the sociopath exams consistently are? 1: career criminals, 2: police officer. Are you arguing that we should just allow that to continue??? Or, maybe we start highlighting it so more people begin to notice. You wake people up by making them uncomfortable. They see situations escalated by police needlessly and they get uncomfortable. Eventually, the discomfort they feel is because their blind trust and support of police instead of just from seeing 1 cop do something. When enough of them reach that discomfort level, people start demanding reform so they can feel comfortable again. Just blindly supporting everything they do seems comfortable, for a while. Until one of them does something to you.
