What is the inside measurement of one side of the hexagon please. Did you use 39 LEDs per hexagon?

  7. Duncan Ramsbottom

    Duncan Ramsbottom3 jam yang lalu

@Bar Yemini That can't be right because the strips he cut had 39 LEDs on them. Maybe 13 for each colour R G B?

  8. Bar Yemini

    Bar Yemini3 jam yang lalu

He used 13 LEDs per box, in the code he defines the constant LEDS_IN_BOX as 13.

magnets and contact pads would probably make it easier to replace or add more segments as you wouldn't have to deal with the connections especially since you're gluing the diffusion plate to the top. polarizing the magnets would also help make sure you don't put them in backward.

Question, how did you eliminate voltage drop off? I thought 2811's were known for quickly losing color over a few LED's.

I'm impressed with what he created, but unless you just want to make your own for the fun it, it's more cost effective for me to just buy a Nanoleaf. It took him all day to do this, if I work all day I will make $200+ and be able to use that money to buy a Nanoleaf, and in the end the Nanoleaf is a much more polished design and experience.

    BOS'E GAMINGBulan Yang lalu

So many confusing things about this project. (1) Is the logic level shift just to go from 5v to 3.3v? Couldn't I just use a 12v to 3.3v step down? (2) What width/height are the acrylic sheets? (trying to find some on Amazon here in the U.S.) (3) LED 2811 strips aren't individually addressed pixels, it's every 3 pixels. So was that an issue?

Hello, i am also an elelctracal engineer from Berlin, Germany and i really like your video. i wanted to chek out yout Android app, but the link is dead? Does the Led Stripe require 5V for Controll Pin? is it possible to do it with 3V or 12V like VCC? When i take the arduino nano, the Digital Pins got a 5V level, so the level shifter is not needed !? for what purpose do you use the DC5-24V Mini 14 Keys RF Wireless Remote Controller, isnt the Programm run by the Microcontroller? Thanks for your answers, goodbye

Hey, I rebuild your cool project but I am facing some problems when it comes to the cable extension when placing it on wall. When I put a cable extension between the board and the lights it flickers at brighter colors. Removing this cable fixes this issue but I don't want to place the board at the wall... How did you fix this in your version?
