Speaking of bedside manner I had a doctor a few weeks ago walk into the room. I told him I was there for anxiety, I explained why (due to a severe past trauma) and he faced the computer the whole time. He re-prescribed me on an old anxiety med and walked out without even asking if it worked for me. I spent 3 minutes in the room with him. It was pretty rough trying to finally open up about this after 6 years and having the doctor brush me off.

its great when they give each other the opportunity to shadow each other, this way they understand what each of them do how hard each other work, with that comes great respect, being a nurse is not an easy job, and neither is being a Doctor, both jobs require a lot of sacrifice

I've watched some of your videos and never realized until this one where you actually work! (I recognized the city view) Looking back on the other videos, I now realize why it sometimes takes so long to be seen in the ER there and have a better appreciation of what a Dr. goes through on a typical shift. I'm about to start my pregrad experience and am hoping I get placed there on 6 surgical ^_^

I am currently a pre-intern in a third world country and even though we have a lot of good doctors, our resources blockage limits effective assesment for patient care. Just watching this video makes my heart warm, how every allied help professional get united to individualize every patient in order to optimize the treatment. What specially caught my attetion was the way you treat medical students as part of your team, it is sad that we serve as a rug accumulating bad energy from residents, and some don't even encourage us to participate or learn. We have the advantage of getting that doctor-patient relationship when we first enter pre-internship, sometimes we get the privilage to assist on the physical examination and interrogate them to collaborate on the medical history, obviously with the help and supervision of an attending physician, and the patient approval. Keep that welcoming smile while teaching, as a way of telling them, "It's okey. You don't need to feel pressured, you are just learning"; this makes a huge difference.

I love RN Ashley because at 8:20 the typical doctor is a nErd & uses a medical term that may be inaccessible to the viewers (me included), & Ashley plays dumb to prompt an actual explanation of a volume assessment. She of course would know what it is.

This is why I like a physician who pays close attention to detail. I also think i don't need a doctor for a lot of med surg patients. I'd prefer evidence based protocols over opinions. Especially for sepsis.

Hi Violin Doctor: be careful when you shoot the video inside the hospital because it may violate the HIPPA and your hospital social media policy the lead you to loose your job and your MD license even your career! And it is NOT acceptable to hold the camera when you run to a code blue or share your shift report and your patient information in front of the camera and post on IDreporter ! In addition to violating HIPPA, holding a camera will distract you from your patients and your clinical tasks! Remember: you are a Doctor facing the vulnerable lives but the actress facing the eye-grabbing cameras! Meanwhile, You put yourself, your patients, your co- workers, your leaderships as well as your hospital in a vulnerable position by shooting and publishing the real world videos! They suppose to stop this violating behavior right away as our patient advocates! As a professional Doctor, You need to focus on your patients but the camera during your work ! These sharing probably make a lot fun for your audiences but NO FUN at all for a medial professional and any Heath organizations !! ! As a professional RN with 22years clinical experiences and patient advocate, I urge you to delete all your work related videos ASAP and stop violating our patient rights by shooting videos during your work! I will keep checking your channel and make official report to your licenses board as well as IDreporter media platform if you won’t take my advices seriously ! 09/13/2019 6:19pm

I'm a nurse and I loved this video! I love how open-minded are kind both of them are. So refreshing to see. It was great when the doctor enjoyed working as a team with the nurse who had shortness of breath! I wish all nurses got to shadow doctors and all doctors got to shadow nurses. I know as a nightshift med/surg nurse I would love to shadow one of the nightshift hospitalists for a day. We only have 2 hospitalists for the whole hospital at night and it'd be so interesting to see what they're doing all night long!
