Was thinking as far as that tree satump that was UNDER the deck, couldn't you of maybe cut the Roots that lead to the house, and then pulled the rest away?? Just wondering... I have two Tall Pines that are still good treees, but when we bought our home over 8 yrs ago, whom ever had our home prior to us buying it, planted them TOO close to the house and thus some of the roots are growing into the foundation, so My 70 yr old husband and I, will have to try now to take it down a bit at a time, and thinking once it is all down, the cut the roots and then digging out the rest???

ANDREW, On the group of trees behind the building use a cable and a block and tackle. Attach the block and tackle to a big tree up at the top of the hill away from the building. Connect it to one of the trees with the cable and pull it tight. While keeping pressure on the tree pull it away from the building while cutting it. Then repeat for each tree.

Next Time you do this you really need to find some rubber or plastic covers for the teeth on that bucket... you got way too many scratches in the paint without something like that... i was like geeaaaallllnooohmmm look at that scratch... it will probably buff out but who has the time

i think you need to ad more re enforcing to those ramps on your trailer you know how medal fatigue works now they will bend right back where they were before easier then the first time they are not strong enough to hold the weight of your equipment the first time its not going work the next time it gets worse instead of staying the same as the first most of your work is amazing those ramps will need more work

ANDREW, IF YOU WANT THE BUCKET TO OPEN WITH DIRT IN IT ANOTHER PAIR OF HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS COULD BE ADDED TO EACH SIDE OF THE BUCKET. The leverage will be different and I believe it would open. We used a 4 in 1 bucket many years ago on a tracked loader. But it was just used to open and close the bucket empty.

My area of the country you have to have 10’ between laterals minimum, percolation testing may change that in your area although with your leach field being almost completely fill & not virgin ground I’m not sure. We are never allowed to cover any part of the septic system till the county waste water inspection has been completed, compaction of the laterals also is not allowed here, natural settling of the back fill over the laterals is needed to allow the water to evaporate & leach from the system. As for who designed the original system they need to stay in the office is what it sounds like to me.
